ROHS (RSCS Programme)
By July 2006, all manufacturers of electronic and electrical equipment sold in Europe must comply with the EU's Reduction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directive 2002/95/ EC mandating the reduction of six hazardous substances. The immediate repercussions of non-compliance include serious fines, damaged brand reputations and even potential jail time.
